Payroll remittances to the CRA
See what's due and when, and record the payment.
Updated October 26, 2026
Each pay run creates amounts you owe the CRA: income tax withheld, plus CPP and EI (both the employee and the employer shares).
- Go to Payroll → Remittances.
- Set your CRA remitting schedule (most small employers remit monthly, by the 15th of the following month).
- Each period shows the amount owing, the due date and what's been paid.
- After you pay through your bank or CRA My Business Account, click Record payment with the date, amount, account and confirmation number.
The bell reminds you when a remittance is due within 14 days, and again if it's overdue. Late remittances carry CRA penalties.
