Prepare your GST/HST return
Use the Sales tax report to get the numbers for your CRA return.
Updated October 26, 2026
- Go to Reports → Sales tax.
- Choose your reporting period (monthly, quarterly or yearly, as registered with the CRA).
- The report shows what was collected, what you paid on purchases and the net for the period, plus the lines for your return:
- Line 101: sales and other revenue,
- Line 105: total GST/HST collected,
- Line 108: input tax credits.
- File through CRA My Business Account or GST/HST NETFILE, using these figures.
- When you pay the CRA, record the payment against your GST/HST payable account.
The report gives you the figures; it doesn't file the return for you. If you're unsure about a line, check with your accountant or the CRA.
