Set up GST/HST, PST and QST
Check your tax rates and use combined codes like GST + PST.
Updated October 26, 2026
Ledgri loads the sales tax codes for your province when you create your books. You'll find them in Settings → Company, under Sales tax rates.
Combined codes for BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec
If you charge GST and a provincial tax on the same sale, use a combined code so it's one choice per line:
- GST + PST 12% (BC)
- GST + PST 11% (SK)
- GST + RST 12% (MB)
- GST + QST 14.975% (QC)
On invoices, each part is shown separately. In your books, each part goes to its own account.
On purchases
GST/HST you pay on purchases is recoverable (an input tax credit). PST and RST are not, so Ledgri adds them to the cost of what you bought. Each tax rate has a recoverable setting that controls this.
Remember to add your GST/HST number under Business details so it appears on your invoices.
