Move from Xero to Ledgri
Which Xero exports to use and how to import them.
Updated October 26, 2026
Moving from Xero works the same way as any other move: lists first, then balances on a start date, then what's still unpaid.
Export from Xero
| What | Where in Xero |
|---|---|
| Chart of accounts | Accounting → Chart of accounts → Export |
| Customers and suppliers | Contacts → Customers (or Suppliers) → Export → CSV |
| Products and services | Business → Products and services → Export |
| Trial balance | Reports → Trial Balance, dated the day before your start date → Export → Excel |
| Unpaid invoices | Reports → Aged Receivables Detail → Export |
| Unpaid bills | Reports → Aged Payables Detail → Export |
Import into Ledgri
Go to Settings → Import data, choose Xero, and work down the list: chart of accounts, customers, vendors, products, opening balances, unpaid invoices, unpaid bills.
Xero often writes dates day-first (31/12/2025) or as "31 Dec 2025". Ledgri usually detects this; if dates look wrong in the preview, change Dates are written to Day first.
For the full walkthrough, including how to check the result, see Move from QuickBooks to Ledgri. The steps are the same.
