Choose your business type and modules

Set Ledgri up for the way your business works, and switch features on or off at any time.

Updated October 26, 2026

Ledgri has a lot in it. Your business type decides what you see first, so an electrician isn't wading through warehouses and an auto parts shop gets core charges from day one.

The business types

  • Auto parts & repair: stock, point of sale, core charges, price lists, supplier orders and shop labour.
  • Trades & contractors: quotes, jobs (projects), labour and materials, mileage. Stock tracking is off, but you can still sell products such as switches or fittings.
  • Repair shop & electronics: repairs plus device and accessory sales with stock and a point of sale.
  • Retail & wholesale: stock, point of sale, price lists, purchase and sales orders.
  • Services & consulting: time, projects and invoices.
  • Restaurant & café: daily sales from your POS, food and liquor costs, tips payable and payroll.
  • Something else: everything switched on.

You pick one when you sign up. Ledgri adds a few starter items (like Labour with your rate left blank) and any accounts that type needs.

Change it later

Go to Settings → Business type & modules.

  • Change the business type and choose Save and use suggested modules to switch to that type's set-up, or Save, keep my modules to leave your switches alone.
  • Switch any module on or off with its switch: stock tracking, point of sale, core charges, price lists, sales orders, purchase orders, projects, payroll, expense claims, mileage and fixed assets.

Switching a module off only hides it from the menu. Nothing is deleted, and switching it back on brings everything back. Changing your business type adds what's missing and never removes anything.

Only the owner or an admin can change these settings.
